The Binghamton Breakfast Rotary Club took part in the Binghamton Rumble Ponies AA Baseball Game first ever Olympics event.  Our club took first place and money from the 50/50 raffle has been donated to our Foundation.  It was a great club event as we sold (100) tickets and the Binghamton Rumble Ponies donated $300 back to our club for our participation.

The Binghamton Breakfast Club welcomed a new member to our club.  Jim Ford is a musician and is also playing piano at our Wednesday morning meetings.  We are very happy to have Jim join our club and share his music talent.

We were also very excited to receive an Emerald award from Rotary International Paul Harris Fellows for Bill Scheider.  Bill has been a very generous Rotarian and has been the club's treasurer for many years.  Bill also named Nick Seketa a Paul Harris Fellow this year.  Nick was involved with a Brooks BBQ Fundraiser for his church for years, and offered the Binghamton Breakfast Rotary Club this fundraiser.  This new fundraiser has made a large impact on our annual fundraising campaign.

The Binghamton Breakfast Rotary Club was treated to a nice breakfast and tour of the A.V.R.E. facility on Court Street in Binghamton.  The tour and program was very interesting for all to understand how A.V.R.E offers so many programs, services, and a work environment for people with vision loss.  Their mission is to create opportunities for success and independence with people who are blind or visually impaired.  A BIG thank you to Ken Fernald and his staff for a great breakfast and tour.
